Dr. Gabriel Ogbechie OON is the Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited, a leading indigenous downstream oil and gas company in Nigeria. He has over 30 years of direct sales, marketing and operations experience within the oil and gas space.  

A graduate of Production Engineering from the University of Benin, Dr. Gabriel began his early career as a factory engineer between 1989 and 1991. Subsequently he joined PriceWater house Coopers, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants and between 1992 – 1997 he worked with ASCON Oil Company Limited.

He holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Technology Management from Novena University, Nigeria. 

In line with his drive for service excellence and self-development, he has attended several management courses locally and abroad. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School’s 57^th Owner President Management Program and a pioneer member of the Lagos Business School Owner Management Programme.

 Over the last two decades, he has directly overseen the growth of the Group’s operations across the entire downstream value chain, comprising: 

• Three ultra-modern petroleum product storage depots (50 million litre capacity multi-product depots in; Oghara-Delta State, Calabar-Cross River State and Ijegun Egba-Lagos State)
• An 8,000 metric tonne LPG storage facility in Ijegun, Lagos State
• Over 150 retail outlets spread across the country
